How do you answer this frequent question: “So, what’s your research about”? While your loved ones may just smile and nod, the stakes are high when you need to explain your research to a potential employer, funding agency, or the media.

In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to use examples and analogies to connect with your audience, and to craft clear, short, conversational statements about your work and why it matters. While many examples will be science-focused, scholars from all disciplines will learn valuable strategies for communicating their research to varied audiences.

This program will also be delivered on the Longwood Campus, Dec 10, 10:00am - 12:00pm. If this is more convenient for you please register for the morning session at Longwood HERE.

This program is open to Harvard students, postdocs, faculty and staff, and is co-sponsored by the Office of Career Services for FAS, FAS Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard Chan School of Public Health, Harvard Integrated Life Sciences, and the HMS/HSDM Office of Postdoctoral Fellows.
