#### **There’s still time to apply for Summer 2016 Research Funding!**

Are you an undergraduate who wants to do research this summer? While many summer program deadlines are in January and February, there’s still time to get involved! Here are a few of your options:

[Harvard College Research Program](http://uraf.harvard.edu/research-funding) (HCRP)
**Deadline:** Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 12 pm EST.

The [Harvard College Research Program](http://uraf.harvard.edu/research-funding) (HCRP) supports undergraduate researchers in all academic disciplines. Students submit a proposal for an independent research project developed in collaboration with a Harvard-affiliated faculty member, who sponsors the student and provides guidance. The Life Sciences [Research Advisor](mailto:margaretlynch@fas.harvard.edu) and [Concentration Advisors](/people/advisor) can help you identify potential faculty research mentors. Summer awards range from $500-4,000 and depend upon the time committed to the project and other factors. If you want to continue your research in the fall, note that HCRP supports term-time as well as summer research.

[Harvard University Center for the Environment Undergraduate Fund](http://www.environment.harvard.edu/student-resources/undergraduate-summer-research-fund)
**Deadline:** Wednesday March 30, 2016 at 5 pm EST

Two types of summer awards are available:
 1) Funds for independent research (preference given to rising seniors seeking funds for senior honors thesis research)
 2) Research Assistantships (directed summer research experiences under [HUCE faculty](http://environment.harvard.edu/student-resources/undergraduate-summer-research-fund/opportunities) guidance).
Award generally range between $500-$3,500 for up to 10 weeks of research. Past awardees include concentrators from Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth and Planetary Sciences, East Asian Studies, Economics, Engineering Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science and Public Policy, Government, Integrative Biology, History of Science, Physics, and Social Studies.

[Ernst Mayer Travel Grants in Animal Systematics](http://www.mcz.harvard.edu/grants_and_funding/ernst-mayr-travel.html)
